NMHR is recruiting health professionals to volunteer to staff Covid testing sites throughout the state. The NM Department of Health, Infectious Disease Bureau, is actively seeking volunteers now, and contract positions are forthcoming.
Licensed medical, dental professionals from assistants to those trained at the highest levels are invited to register here. From that link one will be able to provide your name, address and contact information. MAKE SURE YOU MENTION VOLUNTEER INTEREST ON THE “WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING FOR” SECTION. NMHR will then be able to pass it along to the NM Department of Health. Soon to graduate students comfortable with their infection control capabilities also are encouraged to apply.
Coordination of specific activities will be through the NM Medical Reserve Corps (NMMRC). Volunteers are informed about opportunities in their area and around the state. This may include working a covid-19 test site, staffing the covid-19 hotline, or volunteering at a covid-19 acute care facility.
