Kayla J. Gallegos

Kayla J. Gallegos, RDH, MSDH, is the Education and Research Chair for the New Mexico Dental Hygienist Association and the State Delegate. She is also a practicing dental hygienist in Albuquerque and has advanced training in Myofunctional Therapy and Sleep Dentistry.

Ryan Sanchez

Ryan Sanchez has been a Health Educator with the Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention Program at the New Mexico Department of Health for two years. Before joining state government, he worked in the nonprofit sector.

Kenny Vigil

Kenny Vigil joined the Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention Program in October 2019 as Program Manager. He has worked at the Department of Health for about 7 and a half years. Prior to joining the Public Health Division, he spent three years as Director of New Mexico’s Medical Cannabis Program. Prior to making the switch to state government in 2012, Vigil spent about eight years working in the broadcast journalism.

Young Wang

Dr. Young Wang was born and raised in Wyoming. He received his bachelor’s degree in Physiology and Kinesiology from the University of Wyoming. Then he went to the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry for his DDS degree.
