James ‘JD’ Rayl

JD is a Registered Nurse and Acute Care Nurse Practitioner in the Otolaryngology department of the surgery section at the Albuquerque Veteran’s Administration hospital. Raised in Taos, he is a second-generation nurse and has has been caring for New Mexicans since 1980, first at Presbyterian hospital in Coronary Care (7 years), 3 years of medical sales, then the University of New Mexico Hospital in the Trauma Surgical Burn ICU (21 years) and the VA (8 years). He holds an Associate’s degree in Nursing from the University of Albuquerque, Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Nursing from University of New Mexico and is nationally board certified as a Critical Care Registered Nurse and Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.
